• Guidance Counseling

Our guidance counselors ensure that every interaction between them and a student focuses on the present and future well-being of that student. Although students do not formally begin the college selection and application process until the fall of senior year, they will work with the college counselors throughout their first three years to lay the foundation for the process—colleges place great emphasis on a student's four-year academic performance.

By the time they're seniors, students are well prepared for the process. Numerous visits by college recruiters, College Board tests, parent-student information evenings, and many individual conferences with that counselors ensure that. Although counselors are normally the primary source of information on choosing the right college, Guidance offers numerous other resources, including college review books, individual college catalogues, college videos, and college search computer software.

Collegiate Academy uses Naviance's Family Connection for the career research and college search process. Students and their parents are "activated" in the system during their freshmen year and are encouraged to begin career and college research early in their high school careers. Active users can access the site here.
