Applying to Collegiate Academy
The application for the 2024–2025 school year has closed. Letters will be mailed to applicants on February 8, 2024.
Information for transfer students will be posted on March 15.
Before you begin the application process, we recommend that you review this information about the process and our acceptance criteria. You can also use this checklist to help you prepare.
Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy is an urban magnet school providing rigorous, college-preparatory academics. Admission requirements include a minimum grade point average of 3.0, national standardized test scores at the 50th percentile or above, and a teacher recommendation. Collegiate Academy serves students in grades nine through twelve, and each year over 500 applicants vie for approximately 225 openings. The majority of the 55-member teaching staff hold master's degrees, and all are committed to student-centered learning. Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy is one of Pennsylvania's top-ranked high schools in terms of state assessment scores, SAT results, Advanced Placement offerings and 100% four-year college acceptance. Collegiate Academy graduates have consistently scored above the SAT national average in critical reading, math, and writing. Our graduating classes are typically offered more than $15 million in college scholarships.
