  • Erie Royals sports attendance numbers high in early season

    ERIE, Pa (September 7, 2017) -- The first three home games of the Erie High Royals football team have brought in more than 11,000 community members to Erie Veterans Memorial Stadium.   • EPS welcomes students back for 2017-18 school year

    ERIE, Pa (August 29, 2017) -- After months of planning, Erie's Public Schools' massive reconfiguration was set into action on Monday, August 28.   • EPS launches 'Erie Strong' fundraising campaign

    ERIE, Pa (June 2, 2017) -- In an effort to raise many of the funds needed for the district's reorganization plan, EPS has launched the "Erie Strong" fundraising campaign, which will be run by the Partnership for Erie's Public Schools -- a 501(c)3 non-profit supporting the district. The fundraising goal is $1,000,000 to be used to help support ServErie's volunteer project at Central Tech this summer, school and district re-branding, updating the basketball court at Erie High School, updating the field colors at Veterans Stadium and purchasing new uniforms for all of Erie High School's sports teams and marching band.   • EPS to offer magnet courses at Erie High School for 2017-18 school year

  • Clean up to begin immediately at Central Tech following fire

    ERIE, Pa (May 31, 2017) -- After a devastating fire at Central Career & Technical School on Friday, May 26, district administration and the Erie School Board are moving quickly to begin the school's restoration process by approving to hire a company to immediately start remediating smoke and water damage in the damaged area of the school.   • EPS high school student body votes on new name, mascot and colors for Central Tech

    ERIE, Pa (June 2 2017) -- On Friday, May 12, over 2,000 of EPS' current high school students voted on their choice of new name, mascot and color scheme for the new high school name to replace Central Career & Technical School. The name of the newly combined high school, Erie High School, was presented at a press conference on Thursday, May 18. Read the full Erie Times-News story here.

  • East, SV to be named community schools as part as reconfiguration plan

    ERIE, Pa (May 16, 2017) -- Starting in 2017-18, the newly created East Middle School and Strong Vincent Middle School will become community schools to replace Emerson-Gridley and Wayne Schools, both of which are closing at the end of the school year. The three other community schools -- Pfeiffer-Burleigh, Edison and McKinley -- will remain in place. Read the full Erie Times-News story here.

  • EPS officially consolidates all sports for 2017-18 school year

    ERIE, Pa (May 1, 2017) -- On Friday, April 28, a vote by the District 10 Committee recognized that East and Strong Vincent high schools will no longer have sports and that the district's teams in all 20 sports programs will play for Erie High School.   • EPS sets new boundaries as part of reconfiguration plan

    ERIE, Pa (April 28, 2017) -- All elementary and middle school boundaries have been re-drawn to accommodate students affected. Families can use an online interactive map on the district website to input their address and determine where it falls in the new school boundaries.
