    Thank you for your interest in serving our community as a crossing guard! Crossing guards are City of Erie employees but also a vital part of the Erie's Public Schools team, helping ensure our students and family members travel to and from school safely.

    • Morning and afternoon shifts at intersections near you are available.
    • All training and equipment provided. 
    • Clearances required.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Seniors welcome!

    Ready to make a difference? 

    Apply and submit required documentation through the CityGrows online portal, or download and print a paper application here. Paper applications and required documentation should be returned in person to City Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Completed packets can also be emailed to amichali@erie.pa.us or mailed to:
