• Success Equation

The Erie's Public Schools (EPS) Grant Development Office maximizes public/private funding opportunities in order to diversify resources available to classrooms, schools and the entire district. The Grant Development Office is responsible for researching, writing and administering all district-level grants submitted by EPS and its partners. The office is also available to assist teachers and principals with school or classroom-level grants as needed.

    Policies and Procedures:
Teachers interested in applying for any federal, state, foundation or community grants (including DonorsChoose submissions) or partnering with an outside organization on any type of grant application must first obtain written approval from their buildig principal. This policy is in place in order to ensure that grant projects and funding opportunities are aligned with building and district priorties. Once approved, building principals will inform the Grant Development Office so that we can assist with the identification and submission of grant applications.

    District-Level Grants:
For projects with budgets over $5,000 and those that impact multiple district departments or school sites, the Grant Writer works with district staff and community partners to write proposals. Please contact Daria Devlin for additional information on district-level grants.

    School/Classroom Grants:
The EPS Grant Development Office provides technical assistance to principals and teachers for school/classroom-level grants. Check monthly for an updated list of grant opportunities that are available for these types of projects. Please remember to obtain approval from your building administrator before pursuing any grant opportunity. This helps with our reporting requirements and allows us to coordinate applications to prevent duplication of efforts.

    Community Partners:
To avoid duplication of requests and maximize funding opportunities, the Grant Development Office serves as a communication link between the district and community partners working on grant proposals.  Please review the information provided on our Community Partnership site for information on partnering with Erie's Public Schools on a grant or program.
