• Section 6344.4 of the new Child Protective Services Law provides that:

    1. District employees having contact with children must obtain the new clearances every 5 years.  These clearances include child abuse background checks, state criminal history checks, and FBI clearances.
    2. All contractors and volunteers having direct contact with children and volunteers are also required to have updated clearances.  This requirement includes coaches, 3rd party agencies, tutors etc.

    Clearance Due Date

    1.        Any employee who has recently applied this past year for new clearances can turn in the originals will be automatically in GROUP 1A.

    Please email me and send the originals in by January 2016.

    2.       Initial Group 1B-Those employees with  last names that begin with A-G and have clearances over 5 years old.

    Due Date: March 1, 2020

    3.       Initial Group 1C-Those employees with last names that begin with H-M and have clearances over 5 years old.

    Due Date:  June 1, 2020

    4.       Initial Group 1D- Those employees with last names that begin with N-S and have clearances over 5 years old.

    Due Date: September 1, 2020

    5.       Initial Group 1E-Those employees with last names that begin with T-Z and have clearances over 5 years old.

    Due Date:  December 1, 2020
